The hôtel de ville decorated for Octobre Rose

What is Octobre Rose?

October is Breast Cancer Awareness month across the world, with the aim being to increase awareness of the disease and raise funds for research. In France, this has become known as “Octobre Rose,” where towns decorate their halls and streets with pink umbrellas and ribbons. As you visit many of these towns, you will see how communities come together to support this worthy cause.

Many residents also take the opportunity to raise funds for this charity, and our teams at Beaux Villages are no exception.

How are the Beaux Villages team taking part?

This weekend, the Ruffec, Verteuil and Charroux teams in the Charente and Vienne, will take part in an Octobre Rose walk, walking the 6km from the Verteuil office to the Ruffec office. Walking past the castle and along the country lanes, this will be a great way to join together and support the charity. If you’re in the area, please feel free to join in. The only rule is that you have to wear pink!
