Property hunters looking for a French home at the French Property Exhibition in London

When and where is the French Property Exhibition?

This year's French Property Exhibition is being held at the Novotel London West on the 27th and 28th January 2024. As one of the longest running property exhibitions for people looking to buy in France, it’s an excellent place to browse the latest French properties, find out more about the buying process, and get valuable information on finance options, the legalities of buying in France, and even removals! Tickets for the exhibition are free and can be booked here.

Our team will be on hand both days to help show visitors. We’d be delighted to talk about your French property search and answer any questions you have. Come and see us on stand 35.

Our top tips for visiting the exhibition:

We’ve attended numerous French property exhibitions over the years, firstly as property hunters ourselves many years ago and now as exhibitors ready to help you with your property journey. They are really helpful events, putting all the experts you need under one roof. However, they can be overwhelming, so these are our tips for you to get the most out of your visit:

  • Do some research in advance:

Check the exhibitors beforehand and make a list of the ones you want to meet. It’s also worth familiarising yourself with the regions in France where you're interested in buying property.
  • Set clear objectives for your property search:

Define your goals for attending the exhibition and your property search. Are you looking for a holiday home, investment property, or will it be a permanent move to France? Determine your budget and preferred property features.
  • Dress comfortably, pace yourself and stay hydrated:

Exhibitions can be tiring. Wear comfortable shoes as you may be standing for extended periods. Dress in layers, as the exhibition hall can vary in temperature.
  • Attend the seminars:

The French Property Exhibition offers informative seminars across both days on various topics related to buying property in France or moving. The seminars are a great starting point for information on the legal aspects, financing, and local property market insights. James Rolt our Head of Sales will be hosting a seminar on the buying process in France.
  • Talk with the experts:

As well as being able to browse French properties for sale, take the opportunity to speak to all the experts that are onhand to provide useful information: estate agents, legal experts, financial advisors and removals specialists. Even if you just collect their business cards you can follow-up at a later date.
  • Have a list of questions ready for the experts:

Think about some questions you need answered before your visit. Do you need more information on the buying process, property prices, French regions, potential rental returns?
  • Take notes and photos:

There can be a lot to remember on the day. Bring a notebook so you can jot down important information and findings. You can also take photos to jog your memory.
  • Remain open-minded:

While having specific criteria is important and will help the experts provide the right information, be open to exploring different regions and property types. The exhibition is the place to discover new parts of France you may not have considered before and talk to people that lived in these different regions themselves.
  • Collect brochures and information:

Collect brochures, guides and business cards from exhibitors to review later. It is handy to bring a bag or folder to put them in.
  • Follow up after the exhibition:

If you have further questions after the exhibition don’t hesitate to follow up with the experts you spoke to. We remain in touch with the visitors we meet at the exhibition and many arrange property viewing trips in the following months.
